Snowy owls are known for their distinctive winter-white appearance, with brown markings, feathered feet, and piercing golden eyes.
In Inuit culture, they are called ukpik, symbolizing wisdom, guidance, and protection. They are sometimes seen as messengers or harbingers of things to come.
Native to arctic regions, they are silent in flight, camouflaged to travel unseen across the open arctic tundra. Unlike other owls, which are mostly nocturnal, the snowy owl is active in the daylight hours.
Some Indigenous communities believe snowy owls are guardians to spirits, seeing them safely on their journey into the afterlife.

Made with cowhide suede and wrapped in soft, genuine rabbit fur, Snowy Owl Mukluks are as warm and luxurious as they appear. At mid-calf height (13.5” tall), they are designed to keep you looking good and feeling snug and cozy all winter long. Special accents include pinked edging and charming beaded details on the vamp and shin, with saucy fur pompoms and adjustable lacing. These mukluks are uniquely customizable; the circumference of the boot shaft can expand up to 21.5” to accommodate tucked-in pants, thick socks, or a wider calf size. Like the snowy owl, these mukluks are well adapted to thriving in below-freezing temperatures. The inner boot is lined with faux fur and has a sheepskin-lined footbed for additional comfort. The exterior features Manitobah’s special Glacier Grip Tipi sole and is built with the company’s AuthenTEC Waterproof System (three layers of waterproof sealant) making these mukluks temperature rated to -32°C.
