Southwestern style is inspired by the landscape of the North American desert, with designs influenced by Indigenous, Mexican, and Spanish artistry.
Colours are drawn from nature: sun-baked reds and browns, turquoise sky, cactus green, and fiery orange and gold to capture the heat of the day. Geometric patterns echo the shape of Ponderosa pines and rock formations such as those found in the southwestern states of New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona.
Southwestern boho chic combines all of these elements, beautifully captured in our new “Mesquite” moccasin-inspired boots by Rowdy Crowd.
Western Mesquite boots are lightweight but snug, made with earthy brown suede, matching laces, and a contrasting white rubber outsole. Classic Southwestern details include wrap- around suede leather fringe at the ankle and striking Aztec-style print on the vamp. The interior is lined with soft fleece for extra comfort.
With their bold colours and traditional touches, Mesquite boots reflect the natural lure of desert canyons and sunsets, adobe homes, and blue-green turquoise.
Layer your American Southwest style by pairing our Mesquite boots with a cozy Vail Aztec Sherpa Vest. Loose fitting with a front zip and pockets, the soft, black shell is accented with vivid geometric motifs of red, turquoise and off-white. The vest is accented with a convenient contrasting corduroy chest pocket to keep personal items handy.
Southwestern boho fashion isn’t complete without silver and turquoise! High Country Hoop Earrings unite this classic combination with dangling iron hoops topped by blue-green faux- turquoise beads. Wear them with other Aztec-inspired pieces to punch up the look, or let them shine as a stand-alone Southwestern accessory.
